Terms of Use

Last updated: 2025-04-15

WorldPrice is free to read and the dataset is free to reuse with credit. The rules below exist to keep both sides honest.

See methodology for the per-source licensing breakdown

Acceptance

By visiting WorldPrice or using its dataset you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, please stop using the site. We may update the Terms; the "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.

Use of the data

The compiled WorldPrice dataset (CSV downloads, API responses, on-page tables) is published under a CC-BY-4.0–style attribution license: you may copy, modify, redistribute, and use it commercially, provided you credit "WorldPrice (worldprice.app)" with a clickable link.

Underlying public datasets retain their own licenses. The Big Mac Index series, for example, is © The Economist; some Numbeo and Eurostat fields are licensed for non-commercial reuse only. Refer to the methodology page — every source is listed with its license — and respect the strictest license that applies to any row you reuse.

Disclaimer

WorldPrice is editorial reference, not financial advice. Prices marked "estimated" or "crowdsourced" are informed guesses, not guarantees, and even "verified" rows are subject to time lag, regional variation, tax assumptions, and exchange-rate noise.

Do not use WorldPrice as the sole basis for trading, investing, hedging, relocation, business planning, or legal decisions. Verify any number that matters to you against the original source before acting on it.

Fair use of the API

Public API endpoints are rate-limited at roughly 60 requests per minute per IP. If you need more, email us with what you are building and we will usually agree to lift the cap for free.

Do not scrape the HTML pages to bypass the API. Do not run distributed scrapers across many IPs. Do not republish the data behind a paywall while removing attribution.

Intellectual property

Our editorial work — the methodology framework, the curated item list, signature indices like the Workday Index, the page designs, and the WorldPrice name and logo — is © WorldPrice / InteliView. The CC-BY license above covers the dataset itself, not the brand or the editorial.

You may quote short excerpts of our writing for review or commentary with attribution. You may not reproduce full articles, page designs, or the logo without written permission.

No warranty

WorldPrice is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WorldPrice and InteliView will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or the data, even if we have been advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any direct claim will not exceed USD 100.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Seoul, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction directs otherwise.
